Students do not need Microsoft Teams to join a teacher's Team meetings. Students can join directly from a web browser using the meeting link. This link will be found in the teacher's Canvas FID Module or on the Teacher's Google Classroom page.

Join via a web browser

Students do not need to install Teams or sign in.

  1. The teachers create a standard Teams meeting invitation & post on their appropriate LMS.
  2. The student clicks “Join the meeting”   
  3. When prompted, they select “Continue on this browser.”
  4. Yes to allow camera/microphone and Join Now  

Please note that:

  • Supported in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome
  • Guests may wait in the lobby until admitted, depending on the teacher's meeting settings.
