The end of the semester
. In your Course Settings, for the End date, put the End date for the last day of the semester. Check the box "Users can only participate in the course between these dates". Next check the box "Restrict students from viewing course after end date". Do NOT delete a course if you have anything in it that you want to transfer over into a new course.
Example:
When creating your new semester course, please use the following convention: Your last name - Course Name - Spring 2017 . (Example: Murdough - Canvas 101 - Spring 2017)
For Course Code use "701-" the six digit course code from MMS. (Example: 701-0001-01) Finally, follow up with a help desk ticket because I will need to change the term from Default to Spring 2017 from the back end.)
